Tough Guys!

Mollie Heath and the kids stayed the night. Berny was working nights at the time so Heath went and rode along with him. I sure he got some good material for his comedian act. Tough Guys!They brought there bull dog Mack too. Roeg and mack really like each other. They wrestled around all night long.

Berny Lance Marquez's Blessing day!

Berny Lance Marquez was blessed in Jerome 1st ward in February 2010. We had just moved from Wendell and did not know anyone in the ward except for David and Julianne, of course (My brother and sister in law). So we decided that even though we had just move into the Jerome ward we would still bless our new baby in the Wendell Ward. The week before the blessing we went to our new ward, and it turned out that everyone was so nice and we got to know quite a few people, just from that first day that we decided to bless Berny Lance in our new Jerome 1st ward.
After the blessing we had a pizza dinner over at David and Julianne's house. Our house was still, "under construction", in other words we were still getting organized. It was pretty good how it the dinner worked out. I made the dough and brought the cheese and all my brothers and sisters brought their favorite toppings. Then we put them together, this is Leejean practicing her pizza tossing skills. She was pretty good at it even with a prego belly :)

Tender Mercy

So Berny's Birthday was on Saturday and I was trying to plan a surprise birthday party for him. It was hard, seeing as how Berny is a police officer and an expert at investigating. Thankfully Debbie stopped by and offered to take Whitney home with her. While we were getting Whitney ready I realized that my wallet was missing from my bag, where I usually keep it. The last place that I could remember seeing it was when Whitney had found it and taken all of my card out to play with them. I had told her to put my cards back and put my wallet back where she had found it. So since it was not in my bag I thought Whitney had lost it. So I asked Whitney to to help me find it. Whitney was getting distracted so Debbie said, " Whitney, you can't come to Grandma's house until you find mommy's wallet." "Oh no, we have to follow through with our threats," I thought!! I really didn't think that we would find the wallet and I really needed Whitney to go with Debbie. So I said a prayer and I got the feeling that it was Whitney that should say the prayer. So we both got on our knees and Whitney prayed that we would find the wallet so that she could go to grandma's house. Just after the prayer Berny came in and asked if I had taken the wallet to Wal-mart the day before when I had gone. Just then I remember that I had left my wallet in the car. So I went to get it, and I brought it back to Whitney and apologized for blaming it on her. She cheered and started sing that she was going to grandma's house. Thank goodness for the faith of a child.

Whitney the Cheerleader

So Berny always makes fun of David by saying that Gracie is going to be a cheerleader. Well When Matthew was playing in his basketball tournament me and the kids went to it. David showed up. When we were there he took these pictures and sent them to Berny, saying that Whitney made a good cheerleader. Berny texted him back and said that he was holding the pom poms for Gracie (David's daughter). Boys will be boys :)

Whitty Whitney Moment!!!

So this morning I was changing Lances diaper and Whitney come up behind me and puts a towel on my head and calls me "Bad guy". Then she starts punching the air with a really tough look on her face. I think we have been watch too much 24 in this house.

Debbie and my birthyday party

The weekend after we moved in, we had a birthday party for Debbie and I. Most of the family came and I realized that either my house is really small or my family is really big. Probably both!! At any rate we were pretty cramped. It was really fun. We had bread bowls and three different kinds of soup. yum!! Mom made Me a cake and I made Debbie one. Mom bought some number candles for my cake. But she didn't know that I was turning 24. She got a 2 and a 3. It ended up working because Debbie turned 43. So after mom went to Wal-mart to get the 4, we had a 2 and a 4 for me and a 4 and a 3 for Debbie. She just had to barrow the 4 from my cake after I was done using it. It was a red neck birthday party. haha!

Our first Sunday in our new house

This was the first Sunday that I was able to get both of my kids ready and myself and get to church. The funny thing is that I was not able to get done until about 10:00am and our new ward started at 9:00am so I took the kids to our old ward in Wendell, which started at 11:00am. But I forgot to tell Berny. He was on duty that day but he has permission to go to sacrament meeting. If he gets called out he has to go, so he has to where his uniform. His first Sunday in our new ward he went without his family and in his uniform. hahaha! He is such a cool guy. He actually had a woman come up and ask him, "is everything alright officer?" He said, "ya, I'm just coming to sacrament meeting." Now that we know everyone we have got a couple of stories of how surprised they were to see a policeman at church. Hahaha! I really like our ward, there is so many really nice people. Berny and I have been given the calling to be Sunday school teachers for the 15 and 16 year olds. I love it. And I am sure they love getting taught the Gospel by the big bad police officer. He makes them do push ups if they forget their scriptures.

Sunday NAP
Here is another funny Cop story about Berny. His new nickname is the HOT COP. He hates it!! He got this name because he was doing an investigation and had to call a lady on the phone to get some information. She was really rude to him over the phone so he had to go to her house to get the information. When she open the door she was mortified and apologized. She told him, "I am so sorry, I didn't realize that you were the Hot Cop." haha, I love it!! To make it even better, one day we were making fun of him about it at Stephanie and Larry's house, and Larry told us about a lady that he was talking to that was telling that she thought that the new city officer was really good looking. I guess that she didn't realize that the new city officer was his brother in law. So now we have two stories, Berny hates it!!! So if you see him call him the Hot Cop and see him blush. its so cute.
