Swim Party at Sharp's House

Summer 2011

Every summer the Sharp's have a big swim party where all of the adult get to act like kids. We all play in the water, and they have a huge water slide that is really crazy when all the boys go zooming down it at the same time.

Colon Sharp and Scott Butler surprised us all when they decided to come out in super hero speedo's.

Berny even showed up for a while, he was on duty so it was fun to make fun of him. Elizabeth called him the stripper.

David and Julianne went down together and Julianne was pregnant.

Dalton Family Reunion

Summer 2011

These are pictures from the Baker Family Reunion. It was fun, we ate food and the kid rode on the wagon with the minnie horses. They also really enjoyed feeding the goat. After the reunion we went over and visited Grandma at her room over in Bridgview, in Twin Falls.

Ay Came to Visit

July 2011

My old college roommate and high school rival Ay came to visit me. She had just had her new baby boy. Lance loved him, I don't know if it was because he was a baby or if it was that he was a boy but Lance didn't leave his side the whole time they were here.

This is Ay's little girl, Alison.

Jerome 1st Ward Girls Camp 2011

I got called into the Young Women's just in time to go to girls camp with all the girls. The theme was boot camp. We had a lot of fun.

Merthan and Vonnie Ellis Family Reunion

Summer 2011

This year Great Grandma and Grandpa Ellis had their family reunion over in Utah. We all went and camped at a really nice camp site. It had grass and everything. Lance really loved his big girl cousins, Hallie and Jaccee. It was hard for me because Lance is just at the age where he is big enough to walk and get away fast but he does not have the fear of getting lost. So I spent the whole reunion trying to keep my eye on him and still interact with people. What was worse was there was a really fast river that ran right by our camp ground. One morning I went to the bathroom and go caught talking to someone. He was sitting and playing in the dirt right under my feet. But in the next second he was gone. It scared me so bad, I just knew he was in the river somewhere. We all started looking for him and I was screaming for him, then we found him in My cousin Shallic's van.

This was an event where we all went to honor the fallen officers. It was really cool, they had bag pipes, trumpets played by brother Aurters and his son, colors guard ceremony, and some speakers. Dad was one of them. It was a very well done ceremony. They also had this thing where they shot the shot guns into the air. What impressed me was just how many officers showed up and how it made me feel to see them all together as a team. Berny really is a part of something great. It has a lot of down sides but a man who survives  law enforcement, physically, emotionally and spiritually has the ability to really make a great man. A captain Moroni kind of man.
