So here is a funny story! Yesterday I went with Leejean to her sister in law Bree's house to learn how to coupon shop, which I am still trying to learn how to do. When we got to Bree's house her daughter, who was probably about 4 years old, met us at the door. She recognized Leejean and her kids but she was confused when she saw me and mine. She first asked what Whitney's name was and and then Lance. But she just looked at me puzzlingly. Then she asked me "where is your mommy?" I told her that I was Whitney and Lance's mommy. Her eye brows turned down in question when she said "no, you are too small." :)HAHAHA!!! Even after I told her that, she still called Whitney my sister and Lance my brother the whole time we were there. I hope that this keeps up for when Whitney is a teenager. I don't think I will mind looking like her sister !!
Here is another one. I have been trying my hardest to keep Whitney from laying on top of Lance or getting to close to his face. The other day I was in the kitchen and I heard Whitney screaming "Mommy help, help". When I got to the living room I saw Whitney bowing over Lance, trying to stand up from laying on top of him, but unable to do so. She was stuck because Lance had two hand clenched deep in her hair and he was not letting go. The funny thing is that as Whitney was screaming "help, help, mommy" Lance was grinning from ear to ear and looking at me with sheer triumph! And it begins :)
One last one! The other night we had to put Whitney on time out. Berny was sitting in the living room with Whitney and I was in the kitchen. From the kitchen I heard Whitney in a very quite and mild voice say, "I cared (scared)". Well she is not supposed to talk on time out so I ignored her. She proceeded to say it three more times, each time getting a little louder and more worried. I figured if she was really scared Berny would take care of it because he was sitting in there with her. Well the Fourth time she screamed bloody murder, and we both rushed over to her to see what she was scared of. We didn't see anything, until we looked down. There on the ground was a moth on his last leg, just flapping his wings like crazy. Whitney had seen the moth walking toward her and voiced that she was "cared". When no one came to her rescue and the moth was still headed in her direction she got louder and louder. But those crazy fast flapping wings, in the end, were too much for her to handle, and she flipped. But being the good girl that she is, she did not get off of time out, even when the moth was right by her feet.
