Play Dough Time

While we were playing with some play dough Whitney asked me to make Grandma Debbie and Papa. How did I do? She made a worm.

February 2011 Super Bowl Party

This year a we had a Superbowl party at Mollie and Heath's house. We did it there because the Green Bay Packers were playing the New England Saints. Ever since Heath was a kid he and his family have been huge Green Bay Packers fans. Berny has always been a Cowboys fan and since his team wasn't even close to making it to the super bowl we went to celebrate with the Harmison. I mostly went for the food, which was awesome, and I took a really good nap during the game to. I woke up just in time to Celebrate with all of the Green Bay Packers fan when they won. Berny was cheering for the Saints. Zoe and Whitney were so cute. They put on all their princess stuff and then put on their football jerseys. It was really fun.

Whitney is so clever!!

Whitney really surprised me with this one. Her and Lance had dump out all of the DVDs and I had asked Whitney to pick them all up and put them back in the entertainment center. Well out entertainment center is made for VHS cases and not DVDs so it is really annoying that the cases are too big to fit in the in and still see what the movies are. When Whitney told me she was done, it had taken her a really long time and in spurts while she was working on it I would hear a frustrated scream or grunt when all the DVDs would fall out. So I was really surprised when I saw all the DVDs were all in neatly and a little slanted so I could even see which case was which. She is just like her dad, a problem solver.

Lance's First Hair Cut

In these pictures Berny Lance had just turned one year old. Lance's hair had finally gotten long enough hair that I could cut it. So I just decided that I would give him the same cut that I always give to Berny, with the clippers. After I was done I realized that I really shouldn't use clippers on a baby with such fine and light blond hair. The very first cut his hair disappeared and he looked bold again. Which was disappointing because I had to wait so long for his hair to grow at all. Is a good thing that he is so cute, because he could never look bad no matter what his hair looks like. It actually looks good in this picture.
He did really well, he sat still fro more than half of his head. It was only toward the end that the lines got a little skewed because he was moving around too much to make them look right. I love my little boy.
Later that night Mark and Aki showed up with their kids and Mark wanted to see who was bigger Tristan or Lance. They are pretty much the same, they are both size small!! You would know what I meant if Jared was standing next to them. He looks like a giant when he is with these two dwarfs. And so I say farewell from the land of mythical creatures Next stop the land of princesses and pixie fairies, which is a place I visit often with Whitney.

Achievment Days Activity and Whitney Playing

Whitney has been working really hard to do the things that are on her chart because when she earns dots on her chart she can earn lots of different things like movie time, personal time with mommy, or even sometimes a treat. One of the dots that she can earn is a writing and craft dot. this is was she did on a cold winter day when it was snowing outside and I told her it was too cold to go outside and build a snowman. So she built her own snowman out of play dough. I was very impressed, she did it all by herself too. I made a snow flake, and I did it all by myself too. lol!

For a short time I had the calling of achievement day leader. I was in charge of the youngest group the 8 to 10 year old's. Then the ward split and I was released from that calling and given called to be a Relief Society teacher, and I stayed the Ward Choir director. This was one of the activities that I did with one of my girls. Her name is Cheyenne and we built with the play dough. Whitney had fun too. And after they were done with the play dough they had a lot of fun playing together. By the end of their time together Whitney was calling Cheyenne, " My best friend Cheyenne. The only problem was that she had not told her mom that she was going to be a my house and so her dad was really worried when he got home and saw that she was not there. When no one was coming to get her I started calling her mother but she was in class. After she got out she checked her message and call her frantic husband. Yikes, I glad it all got worked out but I felt so bad for her dad. And I learned that when you have a calling to work with other peoples kid you need to have the mom and the DAD'S phone number.

Whitney did this, it is a Christmas tree I think. And Cheyenne did the butterfly and the flower.

Whitty Whitney Moment

Whitney the other day walked up to Berny while he was sitting in his chair and said, "Daddy are you a police man?" Berny said, "Yes", Not really even looking up from what he was working on. Than Whitney very innocently said, "Can you go put your costume on?" Berny's eyes shoot up instantly as if someone had just insulted his mother and said, "It's not a costume it is a uniform." I laughed so hard I almost peed. And now we all know how to get, laid back never bot herd by anything Berny, his pulse to rise. Good job Whitney! Now I will make sure, whenever I can to call his UNIFORM an costume.

Journal Entry

I took Whitney to her Wic appointment yesterday and as of right now she weighs 28 ibs 4 oz and in 34 3/4 inches tall. She is growing but not very fast just like her mom. Every time I go they always say ,"she is a lot smaller than most kids her age but I am not worried because she probably is just taking after her mom." I say, "we are not small we are fun sized!" Whitney has been developing her own way of talking as well, instead of saying "I don't know how to do that, " she says "I how know do that." I have corrected her so many times that I know she knows how to say it right but she is just sure that she is right. Lance is really getting a lot of personality. Yesterday while Berny was doing his workout and I was folding cloths he decided to put a rag on his head and run around. Then he would pull it of really fast and laugh so hard that he might have peed his pants if he were not wearing a diaper. He thought he was scaring us. I really thought it was funny when those stumpy little legs would get going so fast and since he had his head covered he would hit the wall or trip and fall on his face. But he would always think it was so funny and than he would pull the towel off and there would be that big Lance boy smile. Berny has been talking about farming again. He misses it a lot and that is making him think more about wanting to move back to Richfield if he gets the ISP job. I am split on the idea of going back to Richfield because on the one hand I really want to live on our ground. I want to farm it and have animals. I want to raise my kids in that kind of setting where they have to gather eggs, milk a cow, move pipes, ride horses, and farm our ground. But I really would miss being so close to my brothers and sisters. I love being able to go over to their house at the drop of a hat for games or just to hang out. I also loving being so convienient to babysit my neices and nephews. I want them to know me and it is nice that Whitney gets to see so much of her cousins. But both grandparent are in Richfield so I will be happy with whatever the Lord wants for us. Right now I am really excited about running. This will be my third week of training to the half marathon and I have not felt this way about something or about myself in a really long time. I am starting to feel mu competitive side come back to me. The part of myself that makes me want to get better and better at something everyday, and really work hard at it. Basketball was what did that for me before. But latley I have been getting a lot of fullfilment out of being able to run longer and faster distances everyday. I notice that everytime I run I feel like I am getting better. When I first started I ran 2 miles at about 5 miles an our and I was dieing the whole time. Today I ran 3 miles at 6.5 miles an hour and I felt great the whole time. The best I have done is 4 mile starting. the first 2 miles 5.5 mph and the last 2 at 6mph, with a 2 incline. And I felt great after doing that. I am now smaller that I have ever been and I feel healther that I have been in a really long time, I weigh 95 Ibs.
